REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Bids sought for Restroom Renovation at the Library
The Hudson Carnegie District Library is accepting bids for the renovation of two restrooms at the library.  A packet detailing the expectations of the job is available at the library and can be mailed to you upon request or you may make an appointment to view the project and pick up your packet at the same time.  Only properly licensed and insured contractors will be considered.  Bids must be received by noon on July 10th. Bids will be awarded at the regular board meeting on July 20th at 6 p.m.  The library can be reached by calling 517-448-3801 or emailing : director@hudsoncdl.org
LIBRARY OPENING - PHASED PLAN
Phase 1 and 2
With the governor’s latest executive order, we have been given the green light to begin offering library services again. However, there are many requirements that have to be met in order to adhere to state and local health regulations. The library administration and staff would like to thank you for your patience during this time of transition.
Beginning the week of June 8th, the library will start with Phase 2 of our library services plan, which includes curbside pickup for requests only. During Phase 2, the library’s operating hours will be: Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 4pm and Saturday 12 noon to 2pm.
Beginning Monday June 8th patrons may request books for checkout by calling the library at 517-448-3801 and speaking to a staff member or placing a hold through our online catalog at www.hudsoncdl.org  Requested items will be available to pick up the next business day.
Please continue to place ALL returns in the outside drop box for quarantine purposes.
Printing/copying/faxing services will be curbside, no-contact and by prearranged appointment only.  Please bring correct change for payment.  This phase will be in effect through June 20th, unless events occur that require us to change it.

LIBRARY OPENING - PHASED PLAN
Limited library services - Phase 1 and 2
The Hudson Library is operating with limited services.  During this time our website hosts the links to OVERDRIVE, MANGO LANGUAGES, SCHOLASTIC BOOKFLIX, ABCMOUSE, NEW YORK TIMES, CONSUMER REPORTS. All of these are available with your login, library card number & last name all lowercase.  MEL requesting is not available at this time.  If you click on the Library Catalog above here in the green bar, you will find all of the books we own and that you are welcome to borrow.  When in the catalog area you will see in the top right hand corner a place to log in so you can renew or reserve your books.  If you do not have a library card, the right hand square will allow you to apply for one.  Both of these actions on your part will send your information to the library and we will process the requests as quickly as possible and will call you when your login is ready to use.  If you have any issues or concerns please do not hesitate to call us, 517-448-3801, and we will help you the best we can.
BOOKS 'N BREWS
Book Discussion Group
Our book discussion group, Books 'n Brews is held on the fourth Thursday evening of each month.  We meet at Rumor's 212 W. Main St. here in Hudson at 7 p.m.  We discuss the books that we are currently reading or have read in the past and would like to share about.
The Library and Rumor's furnish appetizers.  Participants are welcome to order from the menu if they wish and are responsible for their own beverages. Please join us for a relaxing, enjoyable evening.

We have be unable to get ZOOM to work at this location but we are willing to keep trying if there are some who would still like to continue in this manner.  Please let us know.
PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP
1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
AMATEURS!!  PROFESSIONALS!!!  ONCE-IN-A-WHILER'S!!!  All are welcome to come join us as we share ideas, thoughts and information.  Come see our display on the rolling grid on the main floor of the library....maybe your picture will be there next month!! 
We have added a second evening each month to do more "hands on" with our cameras and equipment.  The first Thursday is learning from the Great Courses DVD and choosing our theme and choice winners.  We change out the display each month also.

Everyone likes a good book.  Whether it is in your hands and you turn the pages or if it is on a screen and you push the arrow...Overdrive is free to all of our patrons using your library card.  Come in and sign up, we will get you started.

You can use use the library 24/7. Just click on our link up above in the header and you can search our catalog, whenever you wish.  If you would like to renew your books or see what it is you have checked out....go to the upper right corner and click on log-in.  Your log in is your patron barcode on the back of your library card and your password is your last name all lowercase.  If you have any problems, don't hesitate to call the library and we will walk you through it.  517-448-3801
