SCARECROW CONTEST
Scarecrows must be made of 90% recycled materials.....milk jugs, newspaper, old pants, old shirts, old hats, old metal objects...well, you get the drift.  Use your imagination.....we haven't had any ghosts or cats or minions .....  be creative.  These need to be to the library by 5 p.m. on Wednesday October 5.  After the judging we will use them to decorate the downtown lampposts for the Homecoming on Friday night and for the Halloween season.  Any extras will decorate the library lawn.  Prizes for businesses, school groups, individuals, families and factories.
OCTOBER 29
Pumpkins and movies
* On Saturday, October 29th....bring your decorated / carved pumpkin to the library by 10 a.m., leave it for our judges to judge and pick it back up at noon (or leave it here for decoration)  when you are done with downtown trick-or-treat.
* The Library will give a prize for the most original, homemade costume that they see that day!
* A movie will be shown in the basement of the library beginning at 12:15 p.m.
