On Saturday, December 17th at 9 a.m., the jolly couple will be here to share breakfast with the children. They love to talk about their life at the North Pole, their reindeer and elves and the workshop. Please come with lots of questions and your appetitie.  Please call the library at 448-3801 and let us know how many are coming, but if you forget, come on along anyhow.
Must be to the library by 6 p.m. Monday December 19th
Rules:   Open to all ages.  All entries must be on a sturdy base. (not exceeding 20" x 20") All decorations must be edible (except for the base)  All houses will be made of gingerbread.  Young children are allowed graham cracker entries.  Jundging will take place and winners will be announced on December 22nd at 2:00 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded in each age and group category....they are:
Individual Age Category -  Youth up to 12 years.  Teens 13 - 18 years and Adult over 18.
Group Categories - Small Group 3 people or less, any age. Large Group 4 people or more, any age.


Oils of the Bible
Our group will be enjoying the presentation of the OILS OF THE BIBLE on Tuesday, December 13th. A wonderful powerpoint presentation and a sampling of oils afterwards.  Please feel free to join us, we will be upstairs for this evening only.
Knitting and Crocheting Group
We will not be meeting for the rest of December and would like some input on a day and time that everyone could join us once a month, beginning in January.
Who's your grand-daddy?
Pull up your genes here at the library!!  We now have a subscription to ANCESTRY.COM and it is free to use....here at the library!  We are looking to form a group after the first of the year, to meet regularly once a month to explore our roots. Please let us know if you are interested in joining us sometime!
All old cards in the Overdrive system have been eliminated.  If you can't access your Overdrive account, it means you haven't been in to get your new card.  Please come in so we can update all of the info, get you your new card and restore the access to Overdrive.
You will need all the zeros in your new number and your password is your last name in lowercase.
If you are still having trouble, please call the library and we will walk you through it.
Book Discussion Group
Image of a brown bag lunchThe 1st Monday of each month, at 6:30 p.m., the Brown Bag Lunch Bunch Book Discussion Group now going to be known as READER'S ANONYMOUS (hi my name is....and i've read.....) meets in the meeting room in the basement of the library to discuss books that they are currently reading or have recently read.  We are exploring the idea of movie and book, and also of a group read....but right now we will stick with everyone reading their own thing and telling us about it!
